Marrow

Marrow is a collection are abstract double-walled vessels that blur the lines between the inner and outer walls. The making process involved carving and altering outer walls while they are still malleable, to reveal and connect with the inside layer.

I find this a nice parallel to how self reflection and introspection allows us to find coherence between our core values and how we present and act externally, this evolving into unique and beautiful beings. Thé skeletal form of these vases also evokes the body as a vessel, and the examination of what holds us up or confines or protects us - are these bones? Armor? Cages? Masks?
