Ocean in a Drop

Ocean in a Drop is a series of double-walled vessels shaped like droplets and carved to show the ocean in lapping waves, tumultuous storms or aquatic plants swaying in the current. Part of a sea creature, a tail, a flipper, a fin...emerges from the depths of the inner wall. Seeing only part of this creature, the human mind is quick to jumpt to conclusions - it's a whale, a crab...or is it?

This series is in part a celebration of the mysteries of the ocean, but also a reminder to to show curiosity for what lies beneath the surface, of ourselves, of other people, it beckons us to take a closer look and what's within.
